The day at the dentist

TOday was the fateful day that he paid a visit to the dentist. We met at Bukit Gombak station and walked out way to DR Norreha Dental Clinic. She is very well known among the malay community.. (maklumla kan.. mesti sokong bangsa sendiri.Kalau melayu tak support melayu, macam mana nak maju! haha)...

Anyway, he looked tensed. This is first dental visit since P6. Hmm.. and yes, he is 25 now! Haha. he has this fear for dentists. Dentists, to him, are like hungry vultures, preying on their patients, waiting for them to scream in pain!!!! And all they do is to see you bleed to death!!! Muahahah!! It seems like dentists are one of the fears we humans tend to develop during our childhood years, and it will only grow stronger as we age. Even my mum has similar fear for dentist!

As for me, i shiver at d sight of blood, but dentists are never in my list of things i fear the most. In my 26 years, i have done 3 wisdom tooth extractions, multiple teeth cleaning and 1 wisdom tooth surgery. And I am still alive and kicking.. so honey, get your extraction done asap! Dont fret.. everything will b fine...

OK.. back to today's event. Dr Norreha is a really nice dentist. She is compassionate and gentle. She even offered brushing techniques to us, and explained the different types of tooth problems that may develop if we do not care for our teeth that well. For instance:

At the end of the day, he survived the whole dental exercise. It took almost 1.5hrs for the cleaning process to end. He wasn't as traumatised as i thought he would be.
