The eve of Hari Raya, the day all Muslim houses will be soo busy with preparations and cleaning. The females in the house will mostly be engrossed with their cooking and cleaning in the kitchen. While the men will be busy with vacuuming, painting, polishing and many more. You will be surprised to see the amount of dirt the house can contain in a year!
The activities in my house do not differ one bit. My mum spent most of her time in the kitchen, preparing our favourite chicken rendang, peanut gravy and vegetable lodeh. I swept the floor, hung the curtains, did the laundry and arranged the table for the buffet (which we are having tomorrow). My brothers did the house decorations, changed the light bulbs and brought soft drinks to be served to our humble guests tomorrow. Our house is now really clean. And for once in a year, i really feel as if i am breathing clean air! Hehe...
The end of Ramadhan approached us as Takbir was heard in the radio. All Muslims had their last break fast, and ready to welcome the New Year. All of us are soo excited too see what tomorrow holds. That will be another story in my next entry.
Till then... Selamat Hari Raya to all my Muslim friends. Maaf Zahir dan Batin. Semoga berbahagia disamping keluarga tersayang!
