Hari Raya in JB

Last Saturday, the 20th of October, was the day i have been waiting for the whole week! It was the day i will be visiting his family with mine at his home in JB. He talked to my mum on Friday night and made the plans accordingly. The meeting time was supposed to be 145pm. But we were very very late. Reasons being, my brothers had to go to the Maybank early in the morning to do the transfer card, and as usual, they woke up late and the bank was dead crowded. They reached home at 1pm, got ready and delayed everyone else in the process. Sigh!

After much naggings from him, we made our way asap. He picked us up at the rest house in Gelang Patah and brought us to his beautiful home! It was a really long and confusing way. We would definitely get lost if he was not around.

The neighbourhood is really cosy and welcoming. Taman Sutera is the name, and known to be occupied by mostly Singaporeans. His house is amazingly nice and well furnished. I love the interior look of the house as well as the garden. Aisha's room is simple and clean. I sat on the bed and was almost sucked into the mattress..little did i know that it was actually a waterbed. My first time lying on one.. hehe!

We took photos along the way and savoured the delicious food by Mdm Kamariah. She made nasi briyani and plenty of dishes! I had 2 servings.. felt fat after that... thank god my buttons did not burst open haha!!

After the heavy meal, we gorged on the cakes and cookies. Cik.. your M&M cookies are amazing! Can i have the recipe pls??

At the end of the day, after the heartfelt meals, we got ready for home. SAid our thanks, and gave my kiss goodbye to him (aww) and drove off. ---> This is the part i said, home sweet home.. oh that happened like 2 hrs later.. cos we got lost along the way! And imaging the dreadful noise i had to endure in the car!! From a particular someone... OMG!!!

But other than that little inconvenience, i had a lot of fun on that day. The food, the hosts and the photos all turned out great!
