Not been writing any for the past few days! Soo bogged down with work and Raya preparations. So this is kinda outdated. Happened last Tuesday, with my brother, Najib! Brought him to Little India. It was his first time, and mine after 5 yrs! The last time i remembered going there was back in Uni days, when Little India was the topic of research for my Final Year project.
Anyway, i took a half day leave on that day, with the intention to bring my brother out (fazli was at school that day) and do my henna.. this is a tradition i have to fulfill every year before raya! Hehe... And so we took the train and alighted at little india. The place was not as crowded as i thought it would be. There was traffic definitely. But shopping was done at much ease. The thing that puzzled me though was the fact that after 2 hrs of browsing and walking around, i could not find a single Henna store! And this is Little India!!! how can there be none right.. hmm.. it could be either i went blind for the day, or all the henna artists have migrated to Geylang Serai! Haha...
And so, i abandoned the idea of getting any from Little India. We went to Mustaffa Centre instead. This was the first time i actually browsed the whole shopping center. I was soo amazed to the extent of merchandise that it carries! From DVDs, to cosmetics, to health products to attire and much much more!!!! Imagine the amount of stocks (equals $$$) lying around in the store 247..hmmm...
I bought for Najib a DKNY watch worth $172. Not that expensive actually..The reason for the watch??? The last time i ever bought my brother anything was 5 years ago. I often pamper Fazli (since he is with me here all the time). Najib stays in Malaysia. So don't say i am biase.. My "pampering" does not go international! Bluwek! Below is the watch i got my dearest brother...nice huh..
P.S: if you notice, this is Part I of the entry. Too long to include our Geylang experience as siblings into one blog. Part II next!
