Ban tattoos for those under-18

Is there an age limit for tatoos? In my opinion, teenagers will always be teenagers. We know at this prime age, when their hormones are just gng berserk..they want to try just about anything so as to feed those curious minds of theirs. And tattoos are just one of those "cool" things that they gotta have. But are they ready for such a committment? To have their body scarred permanently? And what are they to do with the tattoos once they are bored of them?Have more tattoos to cover up the old guilt? And then what? When will this end?

In the shoes of the parent, what will u do?Will u ban tattoos on those under the age of 18? Business point of view, tattoo artists will still imprint their art on the minors. What do they care.. money vs moral obligation? Since when is that line so visible?

You see so many protest in the papers lately on this issue..supporters of the ban. Is this "new law" justifiable? Are we just being too restrictive and backward? Too safe for our own good? What about embracing our true self, promoting our creativity to the world, can we do that if our imagination is often stamped on with mundane rules and regulations?

In my pt of view, nt that i am an advocate of tattoos on minors, but i would think this is one area, the govt just haf to NOT interfere! Let the parents do their job, control their young and give them the proper upbringing.

Or perhaps, for a start,to pacify the parents, the tattoos parlour could have that poster pasted outside their door saying "For those under the age of 18, parental permission required".. this wuld defintely bring some smiles on most of their (parents) faces.

Hmm.. Whats next i wonder.. glow in d dark tattoos? Embedded tattoos? The things people do for the love of art? Or just for attention?! Another blog for another day :)
