Chic to be geek

"Geek is the new sexy" said Tyra, in her latest episode of The Tyra Banks Show.

Is this the new and upcoming trend? Can women find men clad in sweatshirt and nerdy glasses the next HOT thing? Hmm.. i wonder..

We drooled whenever a hot dude walked past. Killer body, cute face, hypnotic eyes! Mc dreamy vs Mc steamy! U name it. We know them all.

I used to be one of those women. I will fall for bad boys-> Bikers, players, clubbers.. you name it. I have been with them all! Guys with tattoos? OMG, Hot!

But don't we all, at one point in our life. Fell into the trap of these guys... who promise a life of fun and laughter. Endless partying, sex, booze and joyrides. Sounds exciting? For a moment, yes. But, be prepared for a hell lot of heartbreak, crying and a lifetime full of regrets! Well.. at least for me. These are the kind of guys who offer u short term pleasure, but not eternal happiness. I guess it happens to a lot of women out there. Naivety, it comes with age!

Let's see.. we know these guys are bad! But just what is it that attracts us to them? Their looks, the cool bike, fancy helmet, and just downright dangerous lifestyle. It's thrilling and just plain fun! But are they the type one sees as a lifetime partner? To some yes, to me.. never!

As time progresses, "the love for bad boys" becomes a phase. Passe i must say. And so, Hollywood commercialises the next BIG thing. The Sexy Geek! Nerds can be very appealing too.. with a lil makeup, style and personality.. wahlah. They can be damn HOT.. and the best part, they are intelligent, stable and loyal! Most of them at least. U will have a lifetime feast for your eyes, brain and heart!

Yes, they can be a lil dull. Obsession for boardgames, online games, Starwars, Star trek (Hell no.. not watching that... bt dnt mind the light sabre.. hehe), reading, endless debate on world issues, etc.. but.. you will be surprise, they might have some better skills in other "areas" too.. they love to read dnt they, they might just put that bedroom theories they learn from books to practical use.. ;) Always a first time for everything..

Someone use to say, "Good looks fade, but class is permanent".. and the new geeks have CLASS alright!

Well.. the next time you meet a geek, just heed the following advise.

1. There is a geek in everyone of us. You used to be one too, in one way or another. You were a kid before, don't tell me you know what fashion was then.. ;)

2. Geeks can be sexy! Proper definition: nerds are intelligent, nonconformist and individualistic. Their obsession in a particular thing can be perceived as overly intellectual. So u might learn a thing or two. And get ready to have the most stimulating conversation ever!

3. An IT geek. Better treat him like a king, ladies! He is your lifesaver the next time ur PC goes nuts on u!

4. Improve your vocabulary. Mine definitely has! Haha.. it is comforting to know, after years of bad English, you can finally speak to someone who converse perfectly in that language. A change is always good, i say.

Just a word of caution. Geek vs Dork. If he is the latter (often construed as a loser), i suggest you start running! ;)
