The rich just gets richer!

Saw an article today in New Paper about this Saudi Arabian billionaire Prince Alwaleed who bought his own A380 superjumbo! And it got me thinking bt several things

1. Note his status: Prince aka SINGLE! Hmm.. care to buy yourself a wife? From Singapore.. haha!

2. A380! I have not even smell dat plane yet, let alone ride in it? And he already own it! OMG!

And with the sale of private jets just keeps on booming by the min, we can expect more air traffic in the near future! Something the aviation experts have to b concerned of. Sidetrack - Road traffic is already a major issue..now we have to deal with air congestion!! Imagine the pollution people..!!

As for the general public like us.. we wonder...What is the world turning into - a place for the rich and the richer? Where do we stand among them? Are we slowly being ostracised by the ultra rich? And since when is it buying private planes the next popular hobby? I have heard of the wealthy owning islands, naming them after themselves..having mansions big enough to accomodate 1000 pple, and now PLANES! i shall get one too then huh..toyplanes anyone?

On a serious note - you see the widening disparity in this world between the rich and the poor. u cant help but ask urself..do these rich people ever contribute back wt they have taken? Or are they just wasting their money on unnecessary possessions like the goddamn planes! Are they blessed wif the world's riches so that the rest of the world can live a little more comfortably..? Sadly, I guess not all of them think that way. That is y we still see the less fortunate begging for food, lodging etc.. all the basic necessities that the rich just have an abundance of.

Life is never fair i guess. These people are born with a silver spoon..they are raised to b the way they are. Can we expect them to do more? A quote by George Elliot "one must be poor to know the luxury of giving".. says it all..
