Billy Jean

My God! I luf DaviD Cook's version of Billy Jean. He is so darn talented. Like baby said, this song can be the next hit. At least for once, it's a hit song sung by someone talented. Unlike those bad hit records by William Hung or even Sanjaya!

Cant get anuf of this song... give me more of ur creations, David!!! U got my vote for sure! Like Randy said..."Molten Hot, Baby".. most original piece ever!! Amazing..

* Worth staying up for, just to upload this video. ;)

We ARE the Champion!!!

A good game between Manchester United and Liverpool. Not an exciting game tho.. quite slow.. but what do i care... MY TEAM SCORED 3 GOALS!!! Wohooo... one more goal than i actually anticipated.

Ronaldo never fail to impress me.. hehe.. well as for Liverpool.. till next time ya mate! The cup is for us to take this year! ;)

And to Arsenal, you are SUCH a disappointment. But then again, your defeat could be a gd thing afterall. It is time for you, and your fans to get your arses back to earth. Humility is still d best policy.

Till their next game, congratulations team!!! Keep the spirit going..

Congratulations gurl!

Another delivery of a baby boy. 2.6kg she said. Congratulations gurl on becoming a mum.. another baby... another bundle of joy.

Hula dreams

A surprise meal

One of those moments whereby i just felt like cooking for the family and especially for my that someone special. Desperately searching for all the recipes i could find.. a collection of cooking books which by the way, are just some white elephants sitting off the shelf. My mum doesnt have the habit of trying out the dishes mentioned in these books. She just loves to collect them but rather stick to the traditional, common dishes. Hence, its up to me to break this norm.

Got up at 8am, Thursday morning to go to the market! Yes, THE WET MARKET. Of course, with baby as my shopping companion. Had our usual breakfast, followed by the ingredient search... it was a really great experience. I could not even remember the last time i stepped into a wet market. Could you?!

ANyway, after 45mins of shopping, we headed home. He had his deep slumber, especially after a tiring night shift the day before. I cooked in the kitchen. 3hrs later, a full meal was prepared for him and the family. (unfortunately, i was too drained after, that i could not even have the evergy to snap some pics of the food. But, overall rating: Good food!)

And of course, my Hersheys chocolate cupcakes with butter cream frosting, courtesy of Martha Stewart. M soo HAPPY my very first attempt in these recipes was a success.. will do more cooking from now on.. Just love to see you eat. ;)

My adorable students

Been teaching at Mendaki for the past 2mths plus now. Falling deeper and deeper in love with my students. They are from the Sec 1 and 3NA classes... and they never fail to make me laugh with their antics. Today, we played the 'Are you smarter than your classmate' game and we had a blast... next few weeks will be drilling time as the mid term is drawing near.

Greek exhibition @ National Museum Singapore

Baby suggested to go to the National Museum today. Been postponing the trip for almost a week, since we returned from Bali. The museum is displaying the Greek exhibition at the moment. Been doing so since Dec last year. Just got to know about it in the papers recently. And am so glad i went to witness the ancient sculptures and artifacts. Reminded me of my History days back in Jc, when i took up Greek history.. argh.. i miss my JC school days! I miss Miss Nam, my history tutor.

Quick late lunch at Magic Wok, Novena Square. My fried kway teow, with seafodd and cili padi was really really HOT! Too much cili... and didnt quite like the basil leaves... Baby had his usual phad thai.. and of course, both of us had the sweet coconut drink followed by lognan pudding. The latter was a tad too hard. Didnt finish that one up.

After lunch, we went off to the museum. We paid the entrance fee of $8 each in order to have the guided tour. The exhibition was held at Basement 1. Kinda crowded, being the last day and all. Quite an extensive collection, all the way from France. And of course, one of the sponsors is Singapore Airlines/Cargo. Now we know who did the transportion for these precious historical evidences.

We toured the entire exhibition. Took us like an hr to do so. Baby made a point about how artifacts losing its ancient-ness once placed in a modern setting. Do agree with him, looking at the minimal setup done by National Museum to create that 'ancient Greek' feel. Felt a little too 'Singapore'. Overall, i enjoyed the enhibition. Was really extensive, from sculptures to paintings to artifacts like pottery, ancient toys, kitchenware and many more. Do you know that they actually had the first doll back in Greek times?

Let me take u to a virtual tour of the Greek Exhibition, 16th March 2008

Just the 3 of us...

Welcome back to Singapore: Part II

Day 3 of our adventure in Bali.

Due to the unpredictable weather, we decided to skip water sports and tanning, and focused on getting souvenirs for friends and family. Of course, a little stopover here and there to indulge ourselves. ;)

Made a booking for spa on the 4th day in Bali, before we leave for Singapore. Time was set at 11am. A full package spa, inclusive of chocolate scrub, yoghurt bath, Balinese massage and finally, to soak in a tub full of beautiful flowers! All for just under $80 for a couple!! What a bargain... as compared to the one i paid in Changi Village hotel that costed me nearly $400.. and it sux by the way.

Anyway, after the reservation was made, we went straight to Kuta beach. Was amazed by how beautiful the seaview is. The waves were almost 1.8m high.. surfers aplenty. But ladies, none of them were as cute as we perceived them to be. Sigh... Oh ya... we got ourselves a temp tattoo! Baby decided to get one afterall..hehe..

Lunch at Pizza hut. Had a huge treat! And we paid only $30 for the whole meal. Oh the variety is much much more than what we see in sg. A real bargain... definitely made me full for a good 8hrs!

Night falls. Dinner at Jimbaran Bay. Seafood by the beach, just a stone's throw from the breaking waves. Like what baby said "Dinner was $80. But the company, just PRICELESS'. What more can a girl ask for? Live acoustic band, soothing sound of waves, soft breeze and delicious fresh seafood. My favourite ever: King prawns, Snapper and Squid. All barbequed with yummy sauces.

Busy savouring the food, I was rather oblivious to my surroundings. And just at that pristine moment, he put an arm around me, held my gaze in earnest and asked, "Sayang...marry me." As if time stopped ticking.. i was left speechless. But.. Yes! Yes! Yes! Ntg more i could ask for baby!

Packed our stuff that night. Was really dreading going back the next day. Sigh.. back to reality.. But on a positive side, i had a wonderful time in Bali, and definetely be my next vacation destination. So much to see still.. and this time, i pray that its sunny...

Our shopping compiled... and yes, his gift for me! Its just gorgeous dear. I luf it.

Day 4. Back to Singapore

Appointment for our spa at 11am. Felt really rejuvenated after 2hrs of massage and chocolate theraphy. The chocolate smells really good, but unfortunately its not edible.. hehe. Snapped some last min pictures, had a quick lunch and off to the airport. Had the most frustrating experience at the Denpasar airport. All the ATM machines were closed by 12pm due to the pre- Hari Raya Nyepi. Literally closed... or out of order! And both of us had insufficient rupiah to pay for the airport tax (totalled S$46). Rummaged our bags to look for SG$... and managed to gather 56 bux. Found several money changers, who refused to accept the new $20 notes! Lucky for us, one finally did. Sigh!! made our way, checked our bags and off to our homeland! Goodbye Bali. Till next time.
